My cat tends to get bored of his toys within a couple of days...sometimes even a couple of hours. This toy has my cat absolutely obsessed. It does a good job of triggering his hunting instincts so he was running around chasing the attached toy so much that he ended up panting. My cat usually demands 100% of my attention with any of his other automatic toys and with this one, he couldn't care less if I was involved or not. It tires him out and even if he's napping he'll bolt out of his slumber to chase this thing. He seems to understand which one of the pods powers the thing on so he'll sit and stare at it like he's telepathically trying to turn it on himself. I'm working on teaching him how to do it himself but it's a working progress.I saw some reviews about the remote - it works fine for me. It allows me to change up the pattern of the way the string moves around so it doesn't get too predictable. If you leave the toy on automatic mode, it does shut off after about 15-20 minutes. My cat will whine and whine until I turn it back on for him.I have carpet and it works perfectly fine - you just need to make sure the string is as taught as possible. It also helps to put a rubber band on the main pod so that it grips the string better. I noticed after a while, the speeds would slow down to a crawl and it got my cat bored. Once I put the rubber band on, it sped up so much that my cat even couldn't keep up with it. It's pricey yea, but it's worth the investment if you have cats that get bored of toys often!
We received the AsFrost interactive cat toy today and am highly impressed!—Per the instructions, we immediately charged the motor using the charging cord provided in the box, which we plugged into our own USB charger.—The charging cord is a nice quality braided cord.—Motor arrived mostly charged, so it only took approx. 15 min to fully charge and for the charging light to turn green.—Set up of the unit was easy. We set it up around our dining room table, which allows our cat (4 yrs old) to use the table chairs to hide/stalk the toy but yet has plenty of room to run around the table chasing down the toy.—The rope is soft and if our cat lays on it, both the toy/rope stop moving, so there’s no risk of him getting hurt/entangled in it.—The toy makes a mouse sound, which we initially kept on to entice our cat from another room, however, it can be turned off, if desired. We have since turned off the sound as once our cat was engaged in playing with the toy, he was then indifferent to the sound.—Our cat was a little apprehensive at first (always is with anything new) but after a few minutes, he became so excited/engaged with this toy and began chasing it around and talking to it.—I like that it has 3 different speeds. We started him off at the slow (walk) speed, which I would say is more like power walking and he took to this toy unlike any other interactive toy he’s played with.—The motor is quiet, so when they play with it at night, it does NOT disrupt our sleep. ;)—The toy runs for 15 min and then shuts off. Once it shut off, he still pounced/played with the feather toy, all the while chatting up a storm. He continued to paw at the feather toy in hopes to revive it and even walked up to the motor inquisitively trying to see how to turn it back on (yep, he’s a smart one).We intend on turning this on in the morning before we leave for work, midday (on the days we WFH) and at night before bedtime—to release his energy, exercise him and hopefully aid in a restful daytime nap/night’s sleep.Overall: excellent toy for indoor cats and is unique in its design (never saw anything like this before). Highly engaging/entertaining for our cat and even found it fun/entertaining to watch his excitement as he played with it. Our cat gives it four paws up!!
Great product! This is day 2 of my fluff boy playing with the setup. I only used three of the anchors to confine the toy to a small space. The instructions for setup were basically nonexistent, I ended up finding a YouTube video on it just to make sure I put it together right. I also was a bit hesitant of leaving my cat with it unattended at first because of the rope attachment. He likes to pull at rope and I didn't want the risk of it coming undone and him swallowing the rope. I just monitored his play the first day but I genuinely think it safe now, just check the string often. This also could've been a bit more affordable ~$35-45.Cons: Price, Insecure rope attachment, Setup instructionsPros: Cat Fun, Hands off, Self-timer
Wowza! This spinning loop of string has kept my cats entertained for HOURS. I can hardly believe how much they love it. I was worried it would just be another expensive toy they ignored, but it isn't!! Even if my two monsters aren't actively playing with it, they will just sit and stare at it going around and around and around.I was also worried that this toy would have too much inertia while the loop spins around, meaning the pieces of it wouldn't stay where you put them. The string loop has to be a bit taut to move correctly, so I wasn't really sure how they would address that issue. However, they definitely thought of this, and the pieces came with weighted bottoms for the smaller parts along with suction cups for smooth floors and the sticky side of Velcro for carpet. The larger piece came with a Velcro-like strap that sticks to itself and lets you strap it around a chair leg or sofa leg. The strap is fairly large, and I don't have anything that it wouldn't fit around the leg of.This seems to be a well-designed toy, and I'm so glad I bought it. I would recommend it for people like me who have high-energy cats but aren't exactly high-energy themselves. Lol.5/5Update 8/20/25: Y'all. My cats are absolutely OBSESSED with this toy! I have never seen them act this way about any other toy I have purchased for them. When it stops, they will often come up to me, meowing like they are the saddest cats on Earth, until I start it for them again. It has gotten to the point where it is on so much that I have had to leave it plugged in since the cats refuse to give it time to charge. I would buy this toy over and over again if I needed to (which, thankfully, I don't have to since it works great). That is how much my cats love it. Literally, the only con that I have found is that when it turns off the cats are sad. Oh! Actually, one more mini-con is that this toy came with a remote that doesn't seem to actually do anything. I don't understand what the remote is for since it doesn’t change anything when I press the buttons, so if anyone knows, I'd love to find out! Haha

Best toy ever for those housecats who need exercise and who love to be active. Complete genius. I have been searching for a toy that will keep my Pumpkin engaged, and this is it. It arrived two days ago and she is currently playing with it now. She loves it. Yes, it is rather expensive, but I will definitely be keeping it. It was a good investment and I hope it lasts. Easy to put together and easy to use, but including instructions would have been nice. I had to just follow the picture on the box.
